The Hinrich Foundation supports research projects that advance the understanding of global trade issues and inform policy development. Our research program focuses on the following areas:
– Sustainable trade
– Digital trade
– Cross-border investment
– Trade and geopolitics
*Call for Proposals*
We invite researchers and research organizations to submit proposals for projects that address these themes. Proposals will be considered twice a year, with deadlines on May 31 and October 31.
*Upcoming Deadline:* October 31, 2025
*Submission Requirements:*
1. *Researcher Information*: Include the name and credentials of the researcher(s).
2. *Research Synopsis*: Address major trade-related themes and pose 2-4 key questions. Specify the research method (primary or secondary).
3. *Format*: Research can be published as white papers (4,000 words) or articles (1,600 words). All research is subject to editorial review.
4. *Deliverable Timetable*: Projects should be completed within 4 months. Regular updates and interim articles may be required.
5. *Funding Request*: Funding is negotiable and typically paid upon project completion.
